Got myself one of these for a very reasonable price from ebay, and the only new part that I needed to refurbish it was a new wick:

However, paraffin with 0% duty and only 5%VAT is priced at between £2.40-£2.75 a litre here in Norwich……… which is considerably more expensive than either Petrol or Diesel (both of which carry extensive amounts of duty and VAT on them!) and it is therefore nothing less than profiteering by the paraffin retailers; so my Sheen flame gun will be running exclusively on Red Diesel.
